Candace McCarthy lives in Delaware with Kevin, her husband of 29 years. She has a married son and daughter-in-law, who are music teachers. The couple is expecting their first child.

Candace has written for Dell, Pageant, Pinnacle, and Zebra Books, and is the author of 20 romances, 18 which have been released by Kensington Publishing Corp (Zebra/Pinnacle Books), including Irish Lace, Sweet Possession, White Bear's Woman, Irish Linen, Wild Innocence , and Fireheart. Her novel, Irish Rogue, was published in December 2001 and is still available. She has two new releases this year--One Night with A Rogue, which was a June 2003 release and Hot Under the Collar by Kirstin Hill that was published in October. She has been a member of Romance Writers of America (R.W.A.) since 1981. She initiated the former Delaware Chapter of the Organization and has served as the group's President, Treasurer, and Newsletter Editor. On the national level, she served a year as the Market News Columnist for the Romance Writers' Report, the magazine for R.W.A.

Also a member of PAN (Published Author's Network), Candace loves to read as well as write. "It's about sitting down and escaping into another world," she says.

It was her wish to bring enjoyment to other readers (after reading and enjoying a particular good book) which led her to put pen to paper.

"There is nothing more rewarding than making someone smile," Candace says, "or chuckle…or touching their hearts with my work. Don't tell anyone, but I have the best job in the world."

Look for her books at your local or online bookstore.
